Shipping & Returns: Your Guide to Delivery

At James Hargreaves Clearance, we understand you want your items quickly and safely. Here's a breakdown of our shipping process:
Delivery Options & Costs:
- Free Standard Parcel Delivery: Orders over £50 within mainland Great Britain qualify for free standard parcel shipping.*
- Pallet Delivery (Heavy/Bulky Items): For larger items, we use TPN Pallet delivery. This is a kerbside delivery by lorry. Important: Please ensure your delivery location is accessible to a large vehicle. If you miss your scheduled delivery, a full second delivery fee will apply.
- Fragile Item Protection: For delicate items, we add a £14.99 fee to ensure they arrive safely. This is shown in your shipping fees on checkout.
- Next Day Delivery: Need it fast? Place your order before 1.30pm on a weekday and select a next day courier. Weekend orders are processed on the next working day. We choose the best carrier (Royal Mail Tracked, FedEx, or TPN Pallet) based on your order's size and weight.
- Estimated Delivery Time: Please note that delivery times shown are estimates, and while we strive for accuracy, courier delays outside our control can occur, especially during busy periods.
Key Delivery Information:
- Emailed Updates: You'll receive a email when your order status changes.
- Tracking Your Order: You'll receive a tracking number as soon as your order is dispatched.
- Inspecting Your Delivery: Please carefully check the packaging for any signs of damage upon arrival. If you notice any issues, contact us immediately. After removing the outer shipping packaging, when opening the product packaging, please do so carefully to avoid any damage that could affect a potential return.
- Boilers: Please be aware that we can’t accept any Boiler product returns if the packaging has been opened. Refrain from opening the product packaging until you are certain that you want to keep the product. Verify with your installer that they are confident the boiler is suitable.
- Scheduling Installations: We strongly advise against scheduling any plumbers or tradespeople until you have received and fully inspected your order. We cannot be held liable for any third-party costs incurred due to delivery delays or issues.

Our Commitment to Your Satisfaction
We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If you need to return an item, here's how we can help:
Returning Unwanted Items:
- 14-Day Notification: Please notify us within 14 days of receiving your item if you wish to return it.
- 30-Day Return Window: You can return most unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund.
Returns Due to Our Error:
- If you receive a defective or incorrect item, we will cover the return shipping costs.
Specific Return Conditions:
- Boiler Returns: Boilers can only be returned if the original packaging remains unopened.
- Requesting a Return: All return requests must be made through your online account. Log in to your account, navigate to "Orders," and select the item you wish to return. Do not send items back without prior authorisation, as we cannot process unauthorised returns.
- Return Instructions: Once your request is approved, we will provide you with detailed instructions on how to return your item using our specified carrier, drop-off location, or a James Hargreaves branch (where applicable).
Costs Associated with Non-Faulty Returns:
- If the return is not due to our error, a collection fee (based on our return shipping courier costs). Please refer to our Conditions of Sale for more information.
Refund Process:
- Refund Timeline: After we receive your returned item, refunds are typically processed within one working day. However, please allow up to two weeks for the complete refund process, which includes transit time, our processing time, and your bank's processing time.
- Refund Adjustments: We reserve the right to reduce the refund amount if the item's value has decreased due to mishandling or damage to the product or its packaging caused by you.
