Toilet designs have many variations but all toilets are made up of the same basic three components: a cistern, a toilet pan (bowl) and a toilet seat. (The cistern is the tank that holds the water for your toilet ready to be flushed into the bowl)
Toilets can be put into 2 groups, based on whether the cistern is concealed (hidden in the wall) or exposed:
Concealed Cistern toilets are Wall Hung Toilets and Back to Wall Toilets
Exposed Cistern toilets are Close Coupled Toilets, Comfort Height Toilets
